Homemade Italian Sauces

homemade Italian sauces

Homemade Italian sauces are what make the food at Anna Marie’s authentic. We always start with fresh ingredients from tomatoes to spices. This is the main difference, making our sauces unique. Using family recipes passed down through the generations also contributes to the flavors. Our care for the tradition keeps the cycle going. Food is not just our passion, it’s our destiny.

It Starts in Italy

Born in Italy, Chef Raffaele grew up learning the traditions of the old world. When you are immersed in the family tradition, it carries on to future generations. The lessons learned are still being implemented everyday at Anna Marie’s. In true Italian fashion, the family works in the restaurant as they learn the traditions too.

Imported From Italy

The product choices we make contribute to the quality. Using several types of imported tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil and the finest Italian cheeses, we are proud to support the old world. You will taste this dedication to detail in every bite. There’s no better way to infuse quality than to use quality ingredients.

San Marzano Tomatoes – The San Marzano tomato is a type of plum tomato that’s longer and thinner than the typical plum tomato. San Marzano tomatoes only come from the DOP in Italy. DOP stands for Denominazione d’ Origine Protetta, in English this translates to Protected Designation of Origin. However, DOP is a strict labeling of food in Italy to preserve and protect regionally produced foods from less superior versions.
