Not surprising, America’s favorite food is pizza according to a survey conducted by The Harris Poll. With more than 2,000 U.S. adults responding, 21% chose pizza as their favorite food. Pizza chains are also growing as pizza continues to grow in the hearts of American’s. Other choices on the list were steak (16 percent), tacos (11 percent), pasta (11 percent), and even the undeniably American hamburger (13 percent).

In addition to a love of pizza, Americans made pizza a surprisingly significant part of their own matters of the heart. Of the participants who dated online, three in five said they would swipe right or match with someone who mentioned pizza in their dating profile. As with anything, the follow-through is just as important; 22 percent said if their date ate pizza with a knife and fork, they would not agree to a second date.

For the Love of Pizza

Pizza lovers all across the country have different reasons why they crave the cheesy goodness. Thin crust, cheese crusted around the outside, thick crust, sauce on top or no sauce at all. New York Style, Chicago Style or Detroit Style, most pizza lovers gravitate towards the pizza they grew up with. Almost every New Yorker has a different spot they go to for “the best slice around.” Pizza truly is a subjective item and there is never a wrong answer.
